Let Freedom Race

Hello folks, sorry for the break in entries. Ive been a little busy doing "nothing."

Anyways, I just wanted to post and say that on Sunday my friends Lina and Ashley and I all went to the Nascar race for the first time and well, I think it is safe to say that it changed our lives. Here are a few of the blessed memories of the evening. All the pics were taken on Ashleys camera.

Welp, clearly that day couldn't have lasted long enough. I took video the entire 6 hours we were there and I have never laughed so hard at a play back before. Look out for our video snippets soon.

Its my day off, so that means its time to start cleaning my apartment top to bottom. Buhhg.

Real American

Hi there all yous guys! Hope your week has been treating you well, mine could be better but were not going to stray on that here. As Ive said in the past, painting nails relaxes me. Whether Im painting my own, my mom's or my one of my friends, its not something I ever mind doing.
 My baby head friend Ashley is about to go out of town to visit Myrtle Beach, SC with some friends {jellin} and she wanted me to paint her nails before she left.
Honestly I got excited... BEACH NAILS! hahaha. I didnt even know what she wanted or if she even had plans for them, but we came to a conclusion and decided on painting them like little American flags {perfect for Myrtle Beach} and excuse me but they are the shit.

Here you go, have a looksie!

These are all of the polishes that I used on Ashley's nails along with some little embellishments I picked up at Sally's and Michael's.

Teeheeheheheee. Love them! They make me want to go to Mortal Beach toooo!! ugghs. And I know theyre a little sloppy and would much prefer them not to be, but I have worked a long day at work and I also have never done something with this many freaking layers. Buhg! 
It took close to 2 and a half hours to complete them, but we had our friends Jordan, Jessica and Lina come over as well to help keep the entertainment level high at all moments of the night. Nothing I like better than doing totally girly shit wit my girls, y'eard?

Speaking of girls, look at what this honey pie made me!!!! What a sweet, thank you Ash! I LOVE YOU! GRL PWR!!

Rando Aggro Afternoon

Today was such an aggravating day for some reason!!! What is up with the moon right now? Because me and everyone I know is on the war path of fuck off or get fucked over...

Anyways, to save me from ripping every strand of my hair out today I got a random suprise text from one of my sweets; Lina, asking if I could do her nails earlier this afternoon. Of course I said yes, an excuse to putting the stupid cleaning I had been doing all day to a hault and just focus on relaxing, ranting, smiling and laughing with one of my bb girls. I brought out my basket of nail colors per usual and let her go thru them and she picked the colors below.
She says "I dont know if thats too many, or what? But I just like all of these together"
and I agreed, "Me too, I kind of just want to do something completely random anyways to match with my head today".
She confirmed and I was on my merry little way, lacquerin' up her nails one by one, all of em different, as we goofed about how dumb everything has been today.

Here are some photos, again Im sorry that the quality is so shitty. I dont have a digital camera, so I can only use my phone. The photos are pretty big so if you click on them you can ZOOM to get a better idea of what each nail looks like...

We didnt take the best of pictures of them after we were done, and the last one is from us being out at the bar tonight [lol], so the lighting is pretty bad... But you get the point or picture or wahdevurz. One of her ring fingers has 3 evil eyes on it, and another one of her fingers looks like some weird kiwi-fruit-amajig. I love that none of them are the same, so playful.

Well, its pretty late so Im going to wander off to bed now...

Last night after a late night at work I invited my friend Jordan to come over to my house to hang out. We had a good, long girl talk and I decided to paint her nails while some of that was going on. It took us forever to figure out what to actually do with her nails, what colors to use, what designs to do, etc. Oh, the difficulties of being a female. Anyways, heres some photos of what we decided on for Jordi's nails and what I pulled out of my magic hat.

Aww I love em. It was really relaxing to be able to be painting and talking at the same time.
Its time for my nails to be redone, too. I was reading some nail art blogs and Ive seen people putting feathers on their nails! Thhhaaatttss pretty cool, and I think Im going to try it within the next day or 2.

Marble

Hallo there!
So yesterday I woke up early and decided to sit on Youtube for 2 hours before work and watch tutorial videos that show and explain how to do water marble manicures. Of course that lead to a 6 hour shift at work for me just thinking about what I was gonna do to my nails when I got home. Water marble is a super tricky process! But I tried my best. Hopefully I can get better at this because it looks sooo cool on your nails and I love that none of them look the same.
Anyways heres some pics

I havent really gotten them super cleaned up yet, Im gonna ask my mom to do it today so that I dont fuck them up, so dont be judgin me on that.

This process is also really messy and takes a longg time to complete a full set of nails, but to me its worthhhhh itttt!! Especially when youre good at it and it doesnt look as slopjob as mine, paha.

For polishes I used Essie "It's Genius" & "Dive Bar" also The silver taupe-y holo polish is China Glaze but I forgot the name of it, whoops! Ill get back with that. I used Sally Hansen's "DVD" on a few of them, and American Apparel "Hassid" also.

Alrighty well, bunnies- I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and eat a bunch of yummy foods like Im about to go do! Heres a song for the roadsies:

I just wanted to share with you this great video my dear friend Ashley Gibson shared with me this morning, it is a must.

Christine McVie aka Christine Perfect
My brother had this record in his collection and said he heard a friend raving about it the other day, so we took it out and listened to it one night for the first time while we were hanging around the house making dinner. I wish I had known about this record and Christine years ago. Its so beautiful and it makes me feel like I'm in a completely different place every time I listen to it. We listened to the record again with reverb and it gave me the feeling  that she was in the room next to us, and that room was a little bar and she was sitting alone, on a stool singing all of the songs into a microphone. This album will be in my summer jam collection, for sure.
